OUR CERTIFICATIONS

OUR CERTIFICATIONS

SA 8000

It is the main standard of social certification that measures social benefits in nine important areas for social responsibility in the workplace. Among the most important are:

- Respect for human rights
- Respect for labour rights
- Action against child labour
- Health and safety at work.

ZDHC

Guabello has joined the program ZDHC – Roadmap to zero, an international program for the best management of chemical inputs, which aims to ensure safer products, cleaner water and fresh air, with the aim of:

- Eliminate or replace hazardous chemicals
- Develop effective tools and best practices to improve chemical resource management

GOTS

Global Organic Textile Standard is recognized as the most important standard for the sustainable production of garments and textiles made from natural fibers, in order to ensure to the consumer that textile products are produced in accordance with strict environmental and social criteria, applied at all levels of production.

OUR CERTIFICATIONS

AUTHENTICO

The Authentico certification, established by the Schneider Group, is a voluntary ethical code to ensure maximum transparency in the entire production process, directly connecting farmers with the rest of the wool supply chain.

Animal welfare, which is not subject to mulesing, and respect for the five fundamental animal freedoms established by the Royal Society for the Preservation od Cruelty to Animals, are also guaranteed.

ZQ Merino comes from the desire to offer the best wool, more natural and performing, aimed at ensuring a high standard of environmental integrity, social responsibility and animal welfare ensuring some fundamental elements:

- Traceability – ZQ certified wool is not available through the traditional raw material auction system, but is provided through contracts that guarantee traceability throughout the production chain
- Sustainability
- Animal health.

OUR SUPPLY CHAIN CERTIFICATIONS

From textile products to semi-finished products, from accessories to finished products, over 90% of what we produce is ethical, certified and guaranteed, to protect people, the environment and the customer. We put our heart, commitment and transparency from the farmer to the last process of the supply chain, also respecting all the fundamental freedoms of animals in physical and psychological terms. Guabello 1815 wool comes from ethical farms where sheeps are treated responsibly.

OEKO TEK

The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX is a worldwide certification system for textile products, semi-finished and finished, at all processing levels, as well as for the accessory materials used. Over 90% of our products are STANDARD 100 certified by OEKO-TEX.

RWS

Responsible Wool Standard is a voluntary standard that ensures that animals are treated with respect for their fundamental freedoms: freedom from hunger and thirst, from distress, pain, injury or disease, and from fear as well.

To ensure that the wool comes from farms with a progressive approach to the management of their land and from sheeps that are treated responsibly.

Respecting the environment is a must and imperative behavior, that pushes us to invest time and resources to reduce more and more our impact to the environment. How this can be achieved ? By improving all processes in terms of sustainability, by using renewable energy for our plants, by strongly limiting the use of chemicals, reducing the environmental impact and safeguarding one of the most precious assets, the water.

We strive at all levels of the company and environmental levels to be increasingly sustainable, from the containment of emissions, to the attention to waste, good practices of reuse and recovery materials. Our commitment to respect for the environment is concrete, heartfelt and continuous.

ENERGY

Every day we strive to achieve the best, more ethical and greener. For this reason, we are working on the enforcement of photovoltaic systems in our production plants. Since 2017, we have travelled more than 45.000 km with our e-cars and we choose, as much as possible, the use of energy from renewable sources, reducing the effects of global warming on the planet.

PRODUCTION

In terms of production processes as well, we pursue a firm policy, to reduce consistently and continuously the impact towards the future. Nowadays, our finishing production processes are fluoro-free, with a significant reduction in emissions and pollutants.

Tomorrow’s benefit depends mainly and substantially from today’s choices. For this reason, it is important to have a moral code with a great knowledge able to regulate and determine the ethical processes, from the first to the last step of the supply chain, at every level of operations.

Limiting emissions is one of our categorical imperatives, which is why we have invested time and resources to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible.

We care about the future, the environment, biodiversity and the quality of the air we breathe: this is the goal we set ourselves to achieve every day through ethical choices to protect the environment.

WATER

The health of nature is a primary value, an important benefit which belong to all of us, that must be constantly protected starting from one of its main elements, water.

Over the time, we have invested and worked hard to improve our selves. For this reason, thanks to an important technological investment, we can save 2/3 of the water usually used in the finishing phase, significantly improving the quality of waste water.

Water, and more generally, the environment, are guiding values, and deserve to be protected in compliance with the main international certifications.

CHEMICALS

Producing yarns and fabrics in compliance with international sustainable excellence standards, is, for us, an essential, necessary, due and felt choice.

From the certifications of our commitment to the future take shape traceable productions, with the least use of chemicals.

Thanks to an important technological investment, it has been possible to reduce by 90% the use of substances such as soaps and chemical agents in respect, above all, of biodiversity and the flora and fauna ecosystem, respecting the well-being of people and the health of the planet.

WASTE

Reduction of the amount of hazardous waste, staff training and their conscious awareness, 100% separate waste disposal. The elegance and style of a fabric come by the managerial style and the ethics of a company as well.

To avoid waste and recycling as much as possible, are choices and behaviors that are a priority for the planet’s health. If we all decide to avoid unnecessary waste, we could save the environment from new emissions, global warming, pollution of water sources.

An high quality product, must be ethical and eco-sustainable, part of its DNA, otherwise it is just an exterior quality and not substantial.

TREES

We are committed to being more and more virtuous and eco-sustainable, certifying our every process.

We are aware, that looking exclusively to the economy and profitability, it would be a blind choice towards the future. We are committed to protect the environment and promoting good practices on a daily basis.

One of these, is about the trees re-generation. In the area of the production plant we have planted trees that, every year, will contribute to improve the quality of the air and the related territory.

PLASTIC

We have made a commitment to nature and the future, a sensitive aspect that we also try to transfer to our employees and partners, such as making separate waste disposal or the choice to eliminate the use of plastic.

Sustainability is a mission, every action we do, has an environmental impact, we must never forget it. We know that the future is precious, so we invite our employees to use 0% of plastic bottles and glasses.

RE-USE

From the recovery of waste materials from our warping department, wisely combined with raw material flece, we make, from third-party suppliers, a precious carded yarn.

Every recovery activity, either in the domestic or industrial, in personal or collective, it is an intelligent choice, good for the environment. It helps to limit emissions, to avoid new forms of pollution, to limit or even avoid the use of new water for production processes. Recovery and re-use define a sustainable lifestyle, ethics that becomes a life-style.

Re-use fights and reduce the waste, nonetheless it saves the planet from new forms of impact. We care about the environment and the future, and we will continue to improve ourselves to be increasingly eco-sustainable and virtuous.
